Greetings 2022

Greetings 2022

Dear AFCEN members and experts,

Our association AFCEN demonstrated dynamism in 2021 with on the one hand the intense work for the preparation of the editions of the codes planned in 2022 (6 expected), rallying our experts, and on the other hand the following successes: the international digital conference in March, the participation in the World Nuclear Exhibition with numerous meetings with the companies of the nuclear sector, and finally AFCEN prizewinner of the France Relance plan with the project on the tools for mastering the Codes.

We also undertook teamwork to prepare the 2021-2025 strategic plan. With this plan completed and now to be rolled out, AFCEN intends to strengthen the positioning of its codes as standardization tools for projects, taking into account the industrial feedback needed by the supply chain, and to make them references for European projects.

I would like to thank all the experts who have been passionately involved in the work that has enabled us to achieve these objectives.

For 2022, we are going to roll out our strategic plan around the three major issues identified: editorial policy, interaction with major projects, operators and authorities, and finally the support and good knowledge of the codes by the supply chain. We will continue to strengthen our resources by welcoming among our members the best experts working in the nuclear industry.

On behalf of AFCEN I wish you all the best in 2022.

Laurent THIEFFRY
